Patients here at Bloxwich Medical Practice have always had a named GP. However there is now a contractual requirement to provide a named and accountable GP for all patients. This includes children.
The Practice will inform you of your named GP at the next appropriate interaction, this may be when you telephone the practice or attend an appointment. Your named GP will be printed on your prescription.
The named accountable GP will take responsibility for the co-ordination of all appropriate services required under the contract and ensure they are delivered to each of their patients where required (based on the clinical judgement of the named accountable GP).
Patients will have one GP within the practice who is responsible for ensuring that this work is carried out on their behalf.
PATIENTS CAN AND SHOULD FEEL FREE TO CHOOSE TO SEE ANY GP OR NURSE IN THE PRACTICE IN LINE WITH CURRENT ARRANGEMENTS.
