Patient Online gives patients the option to make appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view their medical records online, using a computer, tablet or smartphone. It complements the existing ways patients access appointments, prescriptions and their records.
In line with the GMS contract the practice will now offer access to detailed coded records from your medical record which will empower you to take greater control of your health and wellbeing by increasing online access to services
Safeguards have been negotiated in implementing expanded records access. There are circumstances where a GP may believe it is not in the best interests of “you” the patient to share all information in the record, for example where it could cause harm to your physical or mental health or where there is reference to a third party.
